Description

Riverfront Times' Description

Those who remember Mangia Italiano as a cramped, smoky, funky 3 a.m. bar that just happened to serve tasty pastas, pizzas and sandwiches might be shocked by recent developments. The South Grand mainstay has expanded, adding a spacious and -- gasp! -- nonsmoking dining room as well as a lengthy late night menu. Live entertainment in the form of DJ spins, live music and karaoke await after the dinner rush dies down every night of the week. The vibe remains casual, and the menu continues to feature such signature dishes as duck ravioli and pizzas named after characters from Roman mythology. Fifteen drafts await, the majority including local taps, along with an extensive wine list and homemade infusions like apple pie moonshine, organic limoncello, aged sangria and strawberry lemongrass tequila.

Ha ha, never even been here for food. But I do know this- the late night crowd (1-3am) is awesome!

The place has 2 faces. One - being a great Italian restaurant anytime before 10 pm, and the other one: a 3 Am bar to hit up! Located on S. Grand - a great meeting spot for my friends and I in S. City!
