Description

Riverfront Times' Description

The back of room of Jim Fiala’s popular Central West End bistro is now a restaurant within a restaurant serving modestly priced (dishes are either $4, $7 or $10), cleverly conceived American fare. The “Fried Bologna,” for example, is housemade mortadella that’s fried and then drizzled with a balsamic sauce. “Surf and Turf” brings two scallops atop spaghetti squash. Though the décor (and the service) sometimes feel like an afterthought, the food alone is worth a trip through Liluma proper.

Tips from foursquare

  • Jon F. on 06/06/11

The burger is the burger that all burgers are compared to.

  • Jen R. on 06/01/12

I love this spot! Try the grilled chicken sandwich at lunch. So good!

  • Jake S. on 05/10/12

Watch out for used gum in your glass if you sit outside. Seems this is a known and common problem.

  • Ziggy on 04/16/12

Be prepared. The food is small, overpriced, and if in a group of 5 or more the tip is included. Therefore the service will be lacking.
