Description

Riverfront Times' Description

Along the charming brick-paved street of Mississippi Avenue in Crystal City is Crystal Tavern, a bar that has been around for more than 60 years. With bands covering songs by the Black Eyed Peas and Ke$ha on the weekends, Crystal Tavern is the self-proclaimed contemporary "place to be in Jefferson
County." There's no cover charge here, but there is a great happy hour: From 3-6 p.m. weekdays, longnecks are just $2 and drafts, $1.25. The folks at Crystal Tavern know how to take care of their customers -- they tout Crystal City's 24-hour taxi service and plentiful hotels.
