Tucked into a tony retail strip on Clayton Road, the Woman's Exchange seems oh-so decadent with its gift shop full of frilly collectibles and its "tea room" catering to the city's distaff society set. But then that's before you learn that the Woman's Exchange is a 120-year-old charity established to market the crafts and handiwork of working women (thus the gift shop) and raise money for the less fortunate.
