Description

Chef-owner Aaron Chamberlin hired Wendell Burnette Architects to overhaul this early ˜50s Harold Ekman building, and the final result is stunningly cool. Sit on the patio, sip a refreshing Sunny & Dry cocktail, and dig in to comforting contemporary American cuisine, from crisp, puffy flatbread with black Mission figs, to fragrant seafood stew. And thankfully, desserts are anything but run of the mill. We"re fans of the warm sticky toffee pudding with sweet cream gelato.

One of my favorite places to frequent. I usually am there for Sunday brunch because Happy Hours and late nights are getting a bit too crowded. However with the success this place has had, even brunch is getting busy. I recently became vegan, and unfortunately there are limited-to-no options for vegans here. The non-vegan food is wonderful. The cocktails are also really unique and wonderful!

Atmosphere, service, extremely knowledgeable staff, fresh, local, homemade, freaking delicious! I've only dined here once, but I will be back for sure. The seafood cioppino is melt in your mouth phenomenal, and my fellow diners raved about their dishes as well. Our server knew EVERYTHING about every dish on the menu, and made great recommendations as well. Finally, this place just sucks you in and keeps you there with its warm and comfortable ambience. Make it a point to try this place out!

  • 2011 | Best Kids-Eat-Free Deal

We don't know about you, but we could happily end our days on this planet without another trip to IHOP. Or Red Robin. Or any of the other places people with kids are expected to eat. Frankly, we'd rather stay home and cry in our Top Ramen. But now we don't have to, thanks to the kind folks at St. Francis, who understand our plight. Who would have thought that the hippest restaurant in town would be so gracious? Just the other day, they posted their kids' lunch menu, which includes seasonal... More »

  • 2010 | Best Place to Take a Scenester

Where do all the beautiful people go? Where are the city's movers and shakers -- politicians, academics, design geeks, DJs -- feeding their fabulous faces, watching each other, and maybe even getting tipsy? They're hanging out at St. Francis, apparently, from the looks of the always-busy dining room. If you consider yourself even remotely connected, then be prepared to run into somebody at chef-owner Aaron Chamberlin's stunning restaurant near the intersection of Central and... More »
