Description

Spruce is the sister restaurant of the highly regarded Village Pub in Woodside and offers seasonal New American cooking in a comfortable Pacific Heights setting. The onetime auto garage is now lined in chocolate-brown and offers the most comfortable caramel faux-ostrich-leather-covered chairs, at which you'll enjoy chef Mark Sullivan's famed house-made charcuterie, and rotating main courses that might include grilled steak with duck fat potatoes and bordelaise, or seared albacore with sweet corn fondue and braised chanterelles. Follow your meal with palmiers warm from the oven, or a brandied cherry ice cream soda. Excellent wine list. Pleasant for weekday lunch.
