This ambitiously-named spot is one of the sadly-few spots around the Twin Cities to scratch that soul food itch. Look for long-stewed collards, mac and cheese, fried catfish, and the like. Or you can try their Godfather burger, a burger topped with a pile of gyro meat, for $18. It's a belly buster. The location is in a tiny strip mall and is modest in size.
The Twin Cities restaurant scene is sorely deficient in the soul food department. It's been frustrating to see so many great places come and go over the years. The ambitiously named Soul Food Heaven is just a tiny storefront with a couple of booths and the TV playing. It's best known for its "Gangster Burger, " an $18 behemoth covered in gyro meat.
