Sorabol is the most opulent Korean restaurant in Lynnwood, with its cherry-wood booths, its two-story vents for barbecue smoke, and its luxurious cavernousness. Parties of suits gather around the grill tables to smile stiffly at one another over smoking meats and shots of soju. The kalbi is top-quality, the seafood pancake edged in fritter-y lace, the banchan (side dishes) kaleidoscopic. Non-Korean diners tend to stick to the barbecue, but shouldn't neglect the restaurant's other specialty for big groups: junggol (stew) cooked at the table. The stews range from beef and fat dumplings in a bright-red broth to a deep, rich goat stew with mustard and shiso leaves.
