This authentic marisqueira offers a broad range of seafood, Lisbon-style. Eat in the blue-tiled barroom and enjoy the neighborhood vibe missing from the dining room, which, nonetheless, takes you back to the old country via a collection of fusty wall-mounted mementos. A special barroom menu offers seasonal seafood, recently running to grouper cooked two or three ways, and gluey, large-circumference conger eel. Many of the seafood selections are braised in clay with tomatoes and garlic, to be sopped with the excellent Portuguese bread. Others are simply boiled or grilled, either of which are not a bad idea with seafood this fresh. Consult the regular menu-which looks like a leather-bound book-for country-style salt cod dishes. Cheap, fizzy vinho verde is the way to go, wine-wise.
