Skye's sprawling two-story building has a few dining rooms, but the place to catch the action is in the high-ceilinged main room, where you'll see a broad cross-section of the Peoria populace doing the Electric Slide. Onstage, there's live music every night. But before you hit the dance floor, dig in to a Kansas City pork chop, slathered in cream sauce with bacon and fresh sage, or a juicy prime New York steak encrusted in peppercorns. Chef Scott Tompkins' menu is full of crowd-pleasers.

Scott Blackwell is almost a dead ringer for Tom Petty -- from his lanky frame and stringy blond locks to his hangdog countenance and penchant for top hats. The similarities extend past outward appearances, as the 47-year-old Phoenician can not only strum his Telecaster just like Petty, but can also sing "Free Fallin'" and "You Don't Know How It Feels" in an equally folksy fashion. This musical mimicry has paid off well, as he and the other members of Petty tribute act Breakdown have... More »
Wanna score major brownie points with Mom? Don't bother tattooing her name on your arm. Instead, take her out for dinner and dancing at Skye. This high-end, high-profile addition to the West Side dining scene -- a cross between swanky supper club and disco inferno -- attracts hungry patrons of all ages. But take one look around and it's pretty obvious: Baby boomers rule the roost. In the spacious main dining room, there's almost always a live band or solo artist performing Top 40... More »
