Description

Critics have been joking about the correlation between altitude and prices since architects first had the gall to put revolving restaurants atop skyscrapers. The punch line still gets a laugh at SkyCity, where a plate of salmon costs as much as a DVD player. Is it worth it? Probably not at sea level, but the view from the Space Needle is still a must-do. Most of the food has a fake-fancy, cruise ship cuisine pall, with the exception of the fabulous Lunar Orbiter, a wacky dry ice dessert that's been on the menu since 1962. Lose yourself in its vapor and breathe in Seattle's high-tech dreams.
