To get to Skybar, which is on the second floor of Vineyard Steak House in Grapevine, you have to pass through the restaurant's labyrinth of Tuscan-inspired design and the scent of mesquite-charred beef. Skybar is an extension of the popular restaurant, but once you traverse the stairs, the experience is much more casual. On a recent visit, a singer performed cover songs on an acoustic guitar as a handful of satisfied dinner guests with loosened ties polished off after-dinner martinis. The bartender informed us that we could order dinner in the bar, but we just settled for one of the 250 selections on the wine menu.
