An extension of the Sky High Smoke Shop in the same plaza that is home to the Yucca Tap Room, Sky High Hookah Lounge exudes a hip-hop vibe, blasting jams from Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Wiz Khalifa at top volume. Fragrant smells waft throughout the dark hall, with flavored shisha tobacco smoke billowing from towering hookah pipes. There"s a shadowed, curtained off private area in the back, and a glowing drink cooler with bottled waters and Mexican Coke and Pepsi in glass bottles. The hookah jockeys at the front counter are attentive but not intrusive, periodically shifting the burning coals over the bowls packed with flavorful combinations of slow-burning, molasses-dipped tobacco.
