High on a rooftop overlooking downtown West Palm Beach is what's known locally as the Sky Bar. Perched on top of Roxy's (access it through that restaurant), it's more drink- than food-oriented, with crowds flocking here to party on Thursday nights, when Clematis by Night takes over. It's a hot spot for late-late night too. Saner bets for diners are lunch, weekdays, and the big surprise (and great for out-of-towners), Sunday brunch buffet. A small tapas menu includes a pizza, calamari, yucca chips, tuna tataki, and hummus, along with several types of kebabs. For a main meal, there are simple choices like island-rum-roasted chicken, seared double-cut pork chop, Irish salmon, crab-stuffed salmon, and several steaks. For brunch, there are egg and meat dishes in a serve-yourself setting -- with plenty of bloody marys and mimosas on hand for toasting the day -- or if you're there at the right time, a perfect sunset.
