It's located in the heart of downtown, inside the 12-floor, nearly 400-room Renaissance Long Beach hotel, but anyone can walk right in and order up one of its signature cocktails. Try the Cuban Society, a blend of Bacardi Razz rum with mint, raspberry and lime flavors. It also makes Aviations with Bombay Sapphire gin, Crème de Violette, lemon and Luxardo Maraschino. As a nod to its hotel environs, Sip also offers internationally inspired cocktails. And as the bartenders will tell you, all the juices used for cocktails are fresh-squeezed daily. Specialty beers-including Yellowtail, Calico Amber and McGarvey's Scottish Ale-sit alongside domestic faves such as Budweiser and Miller. Happy hour goes from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with drinks and appetizers running from $1 to $6.
