Description

For a post-dinner drink, Simone makes a quiet alternative to the bustling Village Arcade around the corner. The brand-new Rice Village lounge occupies half an old bungalow on Sunset Boulevard; most customers seem to be locals, walking from their nearby homes to sip some wine, investigate one of the specialty cocktails, or try unorthodox menu items such as the Duckling and Kubla Khan pizzas. What was once a driveway is now Simone's patio, and the interior décor could be dubbed "modern distressed" - stained concrete floors, shattered-glass double doors, and bare Edison bulb clusters as chandeliers.
