Perched high on a hill overlooking downtown Denver, Simms Steak House -- which occupies the former home of Simms Landing -- wows diners with a stunning silhouette of the skyline. As a result, it's a perfect destination for date night, Sunday brunch or dinner with out-of-towners. But the big, classic menu -- highlighting Colorado-caught fish and plenty of meat -- and the expansive happy hour also makes the reincarnated Simms popular with the locals. And single diners without a companion to gaze at can simply sit at the bar and enjoy the view. After thirty years, this spot is still looking good.

We were very dissappointed in the brunch. We got there at 10:00 a.m. The food was cold. The eggs benedict were cold. The sauce came straight from the regrigerator and the egg was cold and hard. The bisquits were cold and dry; the gravy was cold. The fried egg and the omelet were the only things that were hot because they were cooked as you wait. The french toast was good but here again, cold. The roast beef was cold and tough. All in all it was not very good and not worth coming back again. Also, we had to call the waitress over to ask for coffee on two occassions. I hope this review will help you know where improvements are needed.
