Our band had a great time playing our very first gig at Sidekicks the other night! Everybody was really friendly, including the guy from the production company that books for them. We ended up with just over 20 people there to see us, and it is true that they only pay if you have 20 or more, so just squeaked by and got enough to cover our bar tab heheheh The stage is really nice and the sound guy was great. The lighting does suck, that's true, but that certainly didn't hold us back or bum us out, we just went ahead and tore that place down!

Event Review: Live Music

Our band played here and had a bad experience. Not only did we make $0 and brought in at least 12 people to pay the $7 cover they asked for. Stage lighting was bad, so dark, no lighting, and our photos didn't turn out that great that we had a friend take. Drinks are also expensive, on top of that $7 cover you had to pay, you will now then have to pay $6 for a cocktail, $3 for a PBR and $2 for a soda?!!! Guess this place books its band through some amateur promotion company, who any one representing their booking never came up an introduced themselves to us like every other venue does. Sound was good, but that was about it. We won't be playing here again or recommending it to other bands. Wish we didn't waste the time to drive all the way out to this suburb next to a drug dealing car wash and trailer park, just to haul our equipment, ask people to come see us, and play for free. Thanks for wasting our time and taking our money Sidekicks. Hope you treat your bands better next time. take some tips from some professionals.
