Boasting retro-futuristic swank, a relaxed upscale vibe, and a staggering selection of beer and wine, the always-stylish SideBar has become one of downtown Phoenix's premier drinking destinations. Perched on the upper floor of the historic brick building that once housed the Emerald Lounge and the original location of the Lost Leaf, the spot features a swinging '60s cocktail vibe and d�cor that was mapped out by renowned designer Judith Testani (of Olive & Ivy fame). A mix of mid-century retro and more modern elements -- including the programmable light wall and Paul Christiansen-like ceiling lamps -- SideBar's digs are matched in beauty by the precision cocktails served at the funky-looking illuminated bar. Try such tasty concoctions as the White Rabbit and the Psychedelic and see if you agree.

Swanky lounge-style bar in downtown Phoenix. This is one of those see-and-be-seen places - you can catch some of Phoenix's coolest DJs on weekend nights, grab a shot of absinthe or a nice glass of wine and get cozy with friends or a special someone on the large bench couches. Celebrated New Year's Eve here - it was a great decision as this small place was more intimate than the huge block parties.
