Shula Burger on 17th Street Causeway is the first and flagship store for the new burger chain. The outpost, which celebrates the Miami Dolphin's undefeated 1972 season, was picked for a reason. The grand opening was on October 17 of the forty year anniversary of 17-0 season on 17th Street. One of the famous plays from the season is even prominently displayed on one of the walls. The chain specializes in burgers with a wide array of toppings. Expect to see items like the Southwest Burger topped with roasted corn and black bean salsa, charred red onions, roasted tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pepper jack cheese, and a chipotle spread. The restaurant also sells less meaty options like chicken sandwiches, fried pickles, salads, and turkey and veggie burgers. And like any good sports-inspired establishment, Shula burger serves cold beer and wine.
