SoBe's reputation often precedes it, but Shine is a welcoming club located near the northern border of that notoriously posh club district. Monthly parties and a friendly door staff make the chill lounge a refreshing change of pace from the hectic scene just a ways south.

    Shine, nestled inside the glam Shelborne Beach Resort, was a labor of love for DJ Jonathan Cowan, whose family has long owned and operated the hotel.     Once a month DJ Jazzy Jeff (of "... and the Fresh Prince" fame) spun at Shine at the Shelborne, making for a night of booty-grinding and straight-up drunken fun. In between serving cosmos and cocktails, scantily clad bartenders danced on the bar, much to the pleasure of hollering bystanders of the male gender.
