Sherlock's Baker St. Pub River Oaks

Any location that is a part of Sherlock's bar chain is a reliable standby in any part of Houston where you are in need of taking less hearty folk out for a few drinks. The decor is clinically British, with sons and daughters of Albion plastered all over the walls to give patrons the feeling of being in a real pub across the pond. You can always expect live music from a number of revolving cover bands dishing out radio rock standards and the stray funky version of "Ice Ice Baby." All in all you can't wrong with Sherlock's. Just expect to hear "Jager bombs!" shouted at interminable levels. This location is also famous for it's open mic comedy nights, run by the Houston Comedy Union, on Sundays and Mondays. Drink specials abound.
