Description
In terms of atmosphere, Shelter is a step up from its neighboring Ballard Avenue dive bars. The lounge is sparkling bright and clean, with polished wood interiors and huge windows; there's a heated outdoor patio with a fireplace; and the brickwork and cushy booths give the place a warm ski lodge feel. The food menu's somewhat adventurous, with peanut-butter-and-jelly jalapeno poppers and avocado fries, and the cocktails are chic and modern, with blueberry mojitos, and cucumber margaritas.
