For more than 20 years, this North Dallas sports and billiards bar has been attracting folks to a strip shopping center on Preston Road (just south of Frankford Road) with the promise of airing every big sporting event on one of their many big-screen TVs, free pool with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a happy hour every day from open until 9 p.m. with $2.50 wells and domestic bottles and $2.25 drafts. Thursdays and Saturdays the bar hosts popular karaoke nights, and there's a full menu along with a $5 menu of bar staples like burgers and tacos, plus a late night menu. In addition to billiards, Sharky's has video games, shuffleboard and darts. There are two lounge areas with comfortable seating. Sharky's also has a patented drink called the "Sucker Punch"-- a mix of Stoli Blueberi Vodka, Red Bull, Sprite and cranberry juice.
