This indoor/outdoor lounge next to the W Scottsdale's second-floor pool is decked out with lavish brown and white couches, scattered amidst Mediterranean-inspired décor and a fully stocked bar armed with a classy staff tending to whatever alcohol need may arise. A funky blue-tinged waterfall is located behind Shade's bar and ripples with trickling water that is usually drowned out by the hum of conversation from the stylish crowd that congregates here. Nearby is the hotel's Sunset Beach, consisting of a swatch of white sand populated by breezy cabanas and daybeds, as well as color-changing lights and blazing fire pits encased in onyx marble. A number of upscale parties and affairs have taken place here, featuring such hepcat DJs as Soulman and Paul Oakenfold.
