Description
Two of the partners behind Bellanotte, the first downtown venue to combine upscale dining with a nightlife scene, bring version 2.0 of the concept to Hennepin Avenue. The multitiered complex is bigger and better, with two restaurants, four levels, three DJs, and a roof deck. On the ground level, Seven's steakhouse is a classic throwback, with black-and-white Rat Pack photos on the walls and suit-clad power brokers tucked into booths. Some of the most expensive items on the steak-and-seafood menu seem to be more about showing status than getting a good return on the dollar, but there are plenty of other good choices, from their signature filet (topped with lump crab meat and honey-bourbon sauce) and salad to the nostalgic bananas Foster, flamed tableside.
