Seattle Weekly's Description

Craving some albacore tuna tataki? Better head over to Lake City then. Toyoda san, the genial sushi master at the restaurant bearing his name, does a brilliant tataki, searing the delicate fish and serving it in a savory sauce. If you like his vibe, let him take care of your sushi needs. You know, omakase style, but without the omakase style price. The man rocks the rolls, sometimes pushing the hot buttons of purists with those deep-fried beauties. Don't get your panties in a twist. Those new wave rolls are delish. The bar's the best place to be, as the rest of the room feels a little tired and worn. But that's because of the steady flow of regulars running through. And you'll be a regular after a few visits.
