Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

It's hard to imagine an eatery more enduring than this 24-hour joint a block off Denny Way. Coins now has a remodeled lounge that is sure to please the Friday-after-work crowd of Seattle Times staffers and others from South Lake Union offices, but the rest of the place is intact: the decades-old menu of steak, pasta, and seafood; the dining-room counter with high-back swivel stools in front of the grill; the ceiling-high booths where ordinary folks out past bedtime and the occasional pro jock can find a discreet place to eat at any hour. After midnight, it's the nicest place in town.

When I'm in Wash. and missing the late night dining in L.A. I go here. This is the best place in Seattle for late night dining and drinks with two decent happy hours.

Hit up 13 Coins any time of the day or night and sit at the bar in the high-back stools to watch the chefs @ work. Order the zabaglione & watch them go to work w/ the copper pot

Best "Joe's Special" in the area... maybe anywhere! Try it anytime of the day or night.

Request a booth; the wait is worth it. Also, try the Chicken Parm, the cream sause makes all the difference!

The fettuccine suprema was mediocre at best, but I'm sure it would taste amazing later in the night, and I was less sober.

The Believer is their most popular dish & my personal fave. I haven't ordered anything different in 12 years & I'm happy being boring like that!!!!
