Seattle Weekly's Description

At the corner of 24th and Market sits The Market Arms, Ballard's newest British pub with a bar room so large it dwarfs anything you'd find in the UK. With a focus on high-end import draft beers, regional pub fare - the menu boasts hearty options of fish and chips and shepherd's pie - and sports on TV, the Market Arms is a casual spot if you're in the mood for a pint of British brew. Free pool on Mondays and a quiz night on Wednesdays keep the tavern buzzing.

Tips from foursquare

Four flat screens, spacious, outdoor seating out front and back. Happy Hour has the basics: best are the jalapeño poppers and the worst being the undercooked fries lacking salt.

  • Thrillist on 10/12/11

This exposed brick, polished-wood heavy drink spot improves on the original's concept by offering a wider array of classic "pub fayre", and classing up its L-shaped space with brass fittings.

My go-to bar in Ballard. Great atmosphere, friendly (and cute) bartenders, and a great selection of imported beer. The fries are hit or miss though.
