Seattle Weekly's Description

At Red Mill, you can get great traditional burgers, a smoky grilled chicken sandwich, or a veggie alternative with a roasted Anaheim pepper. A good many sandwiches come with the zesty Mill sauce. The milkshakes are thick, and the cooks will even make them malted. Potatoes and onions are fried up fine and crispy in fresh peanut oil. You only live once—you gotta pig out every once in a while, and when you do head on over to Phinney Ridge.

I used to work at Woodland Park Zoo and there is a Red Mill right down the road, so we'd eat there for lunch all the time. It was something to look forward to during the week - they have everything from sloppy, all-american burgers to healthy veggie options. yum....

  • Seattle Met on 11/09/11

It’s quite simply the best burger in town—an opinion agreed upon by so many groupies, it’s pretty much fact. Veggie burgers, too, along with fish-and-chips at the newest location by the Ballard locks.

Try any of the 11 burgers on the menu! As seen on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Nation.

It's cash or checks only so stop by an ATM first if you only have plastic.

  • Cheapism on 08/31/11

Solid burgers, great onions rings, and a variety of milkshakes for wallet-pleasing prices. Beef burgers cost around $4 and veggie burgers start at $6. Try the special sauce!
