Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

Their name says it all. Since 1994, they've been offering piroshkis - hearty Eastern European pocket pastries with a variety of fillings - and the formula works well enough that they expanded to a second location. One of the hand-held pockets of goodness will fill you up for lunch, a bargain at less than $5 apiece. Veggie piroshkis include various combinations of potatoes, cheese, onions, carrots, mushrooms and eggs. Meat piroshkis mix and match vegetables with beef, chicken, smoked salmon and ham. The corned beef, mushrooms and cheese is excellent. They also offer a nice selection of dessert pastries.

Start a punch card and earn a free piroshki. This place is one of the best lunch spots in the city.
