Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

After you walk through the door and pay your respects to the skull hanging peacefully on the wall, pull up a chair, order a plate, and don't worry about bumping into a familiar mug—which makes Pig Iron a perfect destination for an escape (if you don't live in Georgetown, that is). This Southwestern-style barbecue joint is heavy on the sandwiches, and you should take that to mean that you ought to order one. The beef brisket is everything you want it to be, in a bun that is soft enough to absorb everything and thick enough not to break.

Next to Georgetown's favorite cantina bar Slim's Last Chance Chili Shack is Pig Iron Bar-B-Q serving up Seattle's freshest BBQ and a selection of tasty sides. Sad to see their hours are cut to lunch.

One of the best in town. Seek it out, you'll be glad you did.

In fact, yes, closed on Mondays. Damn.

  • Steve R. on 05/17/10

I just discovered that they are closed on Mondays.

Growing up in the South, I'm picky about my BBQ. This is the best I've found in Seattle.
