Seattle Weekly's Description

This super busy shop offers big and small pies, in both sweet and savory flavors: cherry swimming with bright red juice and pieces of fruit, scratch lemon meringue with whipped egg fluff sweating syrup, steak with nicely browned meat and roasted potatoes. Stay clear of the mac-and-cheese pie, which sounds a lot better than it actually tastes. That being said, the crust here is always excellent, and most of the concoctions trump those sold by competing pie shops.

Tips from foursquare

  • Cheapism on 08/31/11

Pie lovers, visit this quirky bakery for a snack or light meal. Mini pot pies are delish at $4.50, but at $1.50 the bite-sized dessert pies are overpriced. Open 9pm to 2am Friday and Saturday nights!

Get a sweet or savory pie. If you order a sweet pie, get it a la mode with some Full Tilt Ice Cream. The peach pie with strawberry ice cream is really good.

  • Seattle Weekly on 07/05/11

Get the pork potstcker and sausage & potato egg scramble pies.

English Meat pie is classic, rich and delicious.

Celebrate National Pie Day with a Mac & Cheese pie and an Apple Pie.
