Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

This location is the seat of the Pho Bac empire, its point of origin. Everything about this soup-and-that's-all kitchen speaks of Vietnam, from the decor, to the little colored plastic stools the staff crouch on, to the plate of holy basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño, and lime that arrives alongside your pho for garnishing. The long-cooked brisket and tendon here are particularly appealing. If you want the full Hanoi experience, order some crullers to tear up and dip into the broth.

In a city veritably drowning in the Vietnamese beef noodle soup known as pho—this funny little institution (and its sister just six blocks away) does a version for the ages.

  • Terri N. on 02/15/10

What this place lacks in ambiance, it makes up for with flavor. Check out the steak & brisket beef pho (sm. $6.50 / lg. $7.50). Fantastic broth and beats the pants off Boom Noodle!

One of our favorite restaurants and favorite bowl of noodles in the city!

  • Faith Y. on 02/20/10

Get oil and onions, fatty but makes the broth soooo much better!!

    Damn good Pho!
