Seattle Weekly's Description
Located in the historic Mayflower Park Hotel, this barâopen since 1976âexudes old school class. The bartenders here know their stuff, so well that they won't bat an eye if a businessman comes in for a discreet cocktail before noon. The menu focuses on martinis and a couple absinthe-infused cocktails. Patrons who want something to nibble on while imbibing should drop in during the weekday happy hour (4:30 - 6 p.m.) for a smorgasbord of free (!) breads, crackers, cheeses, and fruit.
Tips from foursquare
Before classic cocktails became hip Oliver's reigned as one of Seattle's premiere cocktail lounges, especially for martinis. Look for bartender bartender Patrick Donnelly Jr. Happy hour 4:30-6
Go with 1 great friend or a few. Order a classic cocktail, grab a handful of peanuts and have a real conversation.
Awesome lemon drops!
order the Paradigm Shift. Best martini in Seattle!
Just order a martini. You won't regret it. For "dessert" try some absinthe.
