Seattle Weekly's Description

The four-decade old Maximilien has a certain shabbiness—some might call it romantic—that only comes off as stylish when it's associated with France. The Pike Place Market restaurant flaunts its Gallic associations, serving up classic dishes like escargot, apparently secure in the knowledge that most diners know so little about French cuisine that the kitchen's competence won't be questioned. But it doesn't take a culinary education to recognize grease and salt, which figure into far too many dishes. Maximilien is a lovely spot to practice French with your waiter, or gaze out at the window at the Sound below. Do your eating elsewhere.

That's right, hop on over to Maximilien in the Market for this screamin' deal, sea breezes, and Seattle-affirming view during... More >>

Watch the sunset over Puget Sound from the upstairs bar, only open Fri-Sat in summer. Get a cocktail and smoked salmon. Their outdoor deck is now always open in summer.

It's all about the deck in summertime.

...is a great spot to escape the crush of the market crowds. Take your out-o-towners through the rounds, then awe them with an awesome view of the sound and an excellent bloody mary.
