Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

After moving from its charming digs on Roosevelt, Mamma's sons re-imagined this iconic restaurant, giving it a sleek, stylish update. The food is still good, even if the prices have been bumped up to special occasion range. Actually, the pasta -- which is made in-house -- is not a budget buster. Try the mushroom ravioli, the butter-tender gnocchi or the spaghetti with clams. But be sure and save a little space for something sweet from the clever pastry chef.

Tips from foursquare

  • The Seattle Times on 06/11/10

The new location has a modern theme (white linen, marble bar, flattering lighting). Patrons will find a menu that takes advantage of seasonal offerings, pastas made in-house and wood-burning oven.

  • Thrillist on 07/01/10

Hit this italian spot's delicious brunch for sausage & mozz frittatas, caramel & cinnamon French toast, and more.

  • The Seattle Times on 08/27/10

At happy hour you can also have a margherita, marinara or pepperoni pizza for just $6. The pleasantly salty crust has a just-right char and satisfying chew.

  • Seattle Happy Hour on 03/25/12

Mamma Melina Ristorante and Pizzeria has happy hour Sun-Thur 3-7 pm, Fri-Sat 3-6pm and 9-11pm everyday! http://www.mammamelina.com/
