Seattle Weekly's Description
There are restaurants across the city that reflect a range of culinary traditions associated with China, but no restaurant better encapsulates the region-specific tradition of eating Chinese in Seattle than Louie's Cuisine. The Ballard restaurant traces its roots back to the 1930s, when the Louie family served some of the best food in Chinatown. There aren't any real misses on the lengthy menu, but oyster beef, garlic chicken with black bean sauce and lobster sauce prawns are reliable standbys.
Tips from foursquare
Love Francis and his Mai tais
Louie's has THE best sweet and sour sauce. If I could purchase a quart size of their sauce for personal use I'd be using it on a weekly basis.
Try the sweet n sour pork, it sparkles in your mouth
YUM! Ginger beef that is wonderful. Have it in the bar around the fire with a glass of wine at happy hour and it is a great value as well!
Best egg rolls ever!
