Ed's Kort Haus
Seattle, WA 98103
Seattle Weekly's Description
In many ways, Ed's Kort Haus is a quintessential Seattle dive. It's dark and spacious, with a pool table, a horseshoe bar, and 20 different tap handles. But the Kort Haus has one quirk that may make the average Seattleite feel like a fish out of water. It's a dry-erase board listing a dozen or so wild animals: alligator, antelope, black bear, buffalo, camel, caribou, and the like. This peculiar list comprises Ed's vast offering of exotic burgers. Their tastiness varies depending on the meat and the cook-antelope, yes, alligator, never-. Order a bowl of fried Tater Tots as a backup in case your yak burger tastes more like a yack burger or wash it down with one of their many quality beers.
Tips from foursquare
Try the wild boar burger. Yummm.
Try the Poutine. De-lish!
You've got to like a place that has a sign that proclaims: "42 INCH HD BUCKHUNTER - FIRST IN SEATTLE" People love that Buckhunter.
We just ordered some late night poutine ... Do it and don't forget an iced cold beer to wash it down
Try the bear/elk burger. 50% bear, 50% elk...it's not on the menu, but it's pretty tasty.
