Description

Seattle Weekly's Description

Located inside the Westin, the Coldwater has all the hallmarks of a hotel bar. There's an emphasis on local fare like dungeness crab mac and cheese and king salmon. But for the traveler who still wants to feel like they're eating back at home, there's also good ol' red-blooded American staples-meatloaf and mashed potatoes; flat iron steak with wedge fries -. This also applies to the bar, with popular local brews like Mac & Jacks and regionally themed cocktails like the "Washington Red Apple" and the "Alki Martini" alongside staples like Guinness.

Tips from foursquare

  • The Seattle Times on 06/02/10

Uses ingredients, raw and cooked, with the respect and restraint that fresh seafood deserves. Oysters glisten. King crab legs are succulent and sweet. Jumbo shrimp maintain their snap.

  • Justin H. on 04/17/13

Try the deep fried pickles and the tots

  • Lisa B. on 03/15/13

Excellent service from waitstaff. Prices were average, yet good considering fresh quality of food and flavor. Sweet potato fries $4 and classic burger $10 were presented nicely and delish.

  • Johnny I. on 03/15/13

Service was attentive, nice atmosphere, very reasonable prices considering its in a hotel. Food was good, though not overly memorable.

  • Nick L. on 09/01/13

Overpriced pre-formed frozen patties with no character or flavor. Avoid.
