Rock fans out in Clear Lake don't have venture past I-45 to get their live fix. Scout Bar is the go-to place for mid-level modern rock acts and a few scattered local showcases by hopeful young bands. The sound here is brutally crisp, brought to you by a member of local faves The Hunger, who should know a little about putting on a rock show. The bar is elevated a few feet from the main stage, allowing you to sip a beer at the bar while still getting to see all the action. This place does fill up pretty damn quick on Fridays and Saturdays, so make sure you head down south a bit early to stake a decent parking spot.
