It's been here forever, and people come from miles around for the delicious sausage varieties at Schreiner's. Most of these spicy, traditional family recipes were brought over from Germany, but the Schreiners also offer regional favorites from Portugal, Spain, England, Poland and Mexico. Health-conscious consumers can dine on low-fat chicken and turkey links in a variety of flavors, and no matter what you order, only the finest ingredients are used and all meat is hand-boned, ground and stuffed into natural casings and naturally hickory smoked. Is your mouth watering? Get going!

From their red and white bungalow at Seventh Street and Whitton Avenue, the Shillers, scions of sausage sultan Hugo Schreiner, have been stuffing casings and Phoenicians since 1955. They've added a flavor or two to keep up with our changing palates, and low-fat for expanding waistlines, but it's the classics that keep us coming back for more. Like their linguisa, a Portuguese creation with a bit of fiery kick, or the summer favorite of BBQers everywhere, the bratwurst. Or their Cajun tasso... More »

And with more than 100 varieties, there are no missing links here. We're partial to Polish kielbasa, German brat and brockwurst and Hungarian kishke, although sometimes we take the high-health road and go for low-fat poultry models.Schreiner's, we salute your sausages.
