Description

Satoro is full of disparate elements. It's a tapas bar. And a nightclub. With $13 cocktails. And Latin, French, and Spanish elements. A loose, Mediterranean theme governs a series of wood-fired flatbreads and fresh salads. Local seafood such as grouper, yellowtail snapper, Florida clams, and shrimp flirt with Spanish ingredients. Hearty dishes like oxtail soup, grilled pork loin, roasted chicken, and quite a few prime steaks flesh out the rest of the menu. Entrees range from $16 up to an absurd $44 -- that for the restaurant's "signature" 22-ounce prime-rib chop with roasted artichokes. Some of the ideas are good, and when they work, they do so in magnified beauty. But taken as a whole, Satoro is a mess of frustrating angles impossible to navigate.

    Went there Friday, 10-23-09 and even though there was barely anyone there, it was awesome. First the music selection by their DJ was GREAT, best songs from all types of music. The service by bartender, Eduardo, was great, he was very nice. The bartender's girlfriend was hanging there and was certainly a big part of the life of the place, she danced for everyone. The people who assisted there were all friendly. The enviroment and look of the place is nice, sexy, and modern. The employees are a lot of fun to watch doing silly dances and fun things, it was also great to see how they all got along in there. Even though it is mainly a restaurant and bar, there was a small group of people there so they still got up and danced around the tables. The food, well I'm sure ALL of it is great. My husband ordered french fries and we got this cube shaped potatoes, perfectly seasoned, with somekind of spicy ranch topping, and they were AWESOME!!! I love potatoes, and these have become my favorite. Overall it was great, the place has a lot of potential and I think that with great advertising it will become big in no time. I wish I could go there weekly not only because it was nice to have the place, the music, and the service to ourselves because of the small amount of people, but because the music and food are great.
