Those longing for the kind of solid Southern Italian food once served at the now-closed Simposio under Chef Alberto Baffoni would do well to make the drive out to west Houston and visit Sapori. Baffoni still treats his customers as if they were family, and that includes serving great food at very reasonable prices. Risotto di mare is filled to the brim with seafood, while old favorites like the gnocchi with gorgonzola still pack a punch. Wine specials make it particularly attractive after work, too, for a classier-than-average happy hour.
