Description

The latest creation of Valley club guru Steve Rogers (the mind behind such spots as Palazzo and Amsterdam), Sanctum is darkly-lit debaucherous danceteria designed in the spirit of an Euro-style Baroque cathedral mixed with plenty of Pagan-like influences. This posh playpen is kinda like Aleister Crowley meets Dante's Divine Comedy with plenty of satyrs thrown in for good measure. House and trance music pump from the high-tech sound system courtesy of local DJs who perch in the establishment's elevated DJ booth high above the dance floor.

    I have gone quite a few times and I have never had a problem with the establishment. The only improvement I see is that the bar needs a bigger selection of liquor.

    Ive had 2 really poor experiences at this place. Went with a group of 10 people about 2 months ago, one of my friends does not drink. The bounced her out for not buying enough drinks so my group of 10 people left. I chocked it up to that maybe they had the liquor board walking through the place.. so I gave it a second chance. Went with 3 people, we paid our 5 dollar cover and had 1 drink at the bar. The card declined so we paid cash and tipped the bar tender. We had money on us but thats not the point. They kicked us out an hour later because they thought we where not spending enough money. We where dancing and hanging out, like people do when they go out to night clubs. Its a really poor management decision in both cases to screw over your repeat clientele.. being part of the goth/fetish community we will not be back, and will tell as many people as we can about our experience there. This place deserves zero stars.

    I recently visited this club and the staff were very rude! The whole club is very dark(I dont mind that, I actually like that) and there are renaissance like bleachers facing the dance floor. In the back of these bleachers are booths that are totally facing away from the club your just in a very dark area thats facing the wall. So my husband and I decided to sit down. I put my legs on his and he was massaging my legs. Nothing under the skirt totally PG not rated R stuff. Then the door man or manager whatever he was ( a troll in a bad suit) flashed his little light on us and told we had to leave! When we asked him what for, he simply said" you know why." WOW!!! Totally humilated for NO REASON AT ALL! We were there for maybe 20 minutes and he did not refund our cover charge and escorted us out like we were bar brawlers! It was horrible. I do not recommend this club at all!
