SF Weekly's Description

Beer, bratwurst, potato pancakes, pickled herring, and red cabbage evoke East Germany at this friendly, minimalist spot at the edge of the Mission District. Walzwerk's chocolate cake is wonderful.

Gotta try their potato pancakes! They are crispy on the outside, creamy on the outside, and come with chive sour cream and applesauce.

  • Rene H. on 03/24/11

    Try there signature soup 'Soljanka'

Try the Beans And Brussels Sprouts and spot it on Foodspotting!

The staff and the waitresses all speak German. It's just as authentic as authentic can be.
