Description

SF Weekly's Description

Once a destination for businessmen and tourists, Tommy Toy's Cuisine Chinoise offers a fairly expensive menu of nicely presented, well-prepared French-influenced Chinese food beholden to no particular region of China. Opt for lobster with vermicelli noodles and chives, chicken-tomato bisque, crab wontons, or wok-charred filet mignon with a balsamic reduction at this Chinatown restaurant. A part of San Francisco's past still churning away in the present, Tommy Toy's is historically relevant if no longer gastronomically cutting-edge.

Get the lobster and be entertained by an animated waiter (aka Captain) who likes to smile from ear to ear
