The Occidental Cigar Club
San Francisco, CA 94101
- Mon-Fri 12pm-2am, Sat 6:30pm-12am
SF Weekly's Description
Perhaps back in the day places like the Occidental Cigar Club were a dime a dozen, but in today's smoke-free times, it's an anomaly. The purpose of this bar is clear - to offer downtown folk a place to puff away while sipping a single malt and watching SportsCenter. This smoker's heaven comes complete with an array of cigars for purchase in addition to its stellar whiskey and bourbon list (pours range from $9-$25). Wines by the glass are available, too, as well as a few draught beer choices. Ladies are definitely the minority here, as the sign in the bathroom correctly reflects ("Ladies, please leave the toilet seat in the proper position when finished").
Tips from foursquare
Bring your own cigar.
The best place in San Francisco to smoke a cigar!
Ask for Bubba the bad ass bartender to provide you a generous pour at The Occidental Cigar Bar. Brought to you by THE EXPENDABLES opening August 13!
The bartender will spritz you with Febreze before you leave. He also has "stripper glitter perfume," which I do not recommend.
Awesome cigar bar! Owner is a great guy. Fun times!
