The Butler & The Chef Bistro
San Francisco, CA 94107
SF Weekly's Description
The music is Edith Piaf, the salad is Lyonnaise, and there's seating on the sidewalk, but the location is South Park, not the Fifth Arrondissement. The Butler and the Chef serves up casual Gallic fare like croques messieurs, quiches Lorraine, and baguette sandwiches stuffed with pate, cornichons, and imported cheeses. All breads and pastries are freshly baked, and the sweet stuff includes profiteroles and handmade chocolate truffles. There's a trained barista on staff, and if you do dine off the street, the interior offers a friendly vibe, and lovely views of the park.
Tips from foursquare
Get one of the honking great big slices of quiche. Delicious, filling and eggy. Yum!
Perfect for Sunday brunch. Small space though!
here's a tip - the portions are huge so get one savory dish (eggs benedict) and one sweet (waffle/french toast) and share amongst two.
Say hi to Miyu!
The Croque Mademoiselle is the bombtastic bomb-ness! Get it!
