SF Weekly's Description

The Sushirrito, a crossbreed of a sushi roll and burrito made with sustainably fished seafood and dressed up in Latin and Asian flavors, seems perfectly targeted to your average San Franciscan. The nori-wrapped rolls are as thick as a man's wrist, assembled tightly enough that you can fist a sushirrito and eat your way south from the top. Rolls filled only with raw fish and vegetables, such as the Latin Ninja (salmon, mango, avocado), come off as unpleasantly mushy. But the cooked rolls, like the Smokin' Chicken (gingery, soy-marinated fried chicken, bell peppers, spring onions, plantain) make a case for the evolution of the species.

Tips from foursquare

  • AskMen on 01/27/11

The take-away, lunch-only place serves rice chips in place of the usual corn variety, & its salsa beats many a Mexican joint's. Get there as early as possible, because the lines get insanely long.

The line moves faster than its length would suggest.

  • Duy T. on 01/27/11

Open Monday thru Friday only from 11am to 3pm

Portions are pretty big. You might want to share with a friend.
